How soon can applicants start work?
The entire process, from its inception to the actual appointment, can take more than 3 months.
What is the maximum allowed period of residence for foreigners in Bulgaria?
According to Bulgarian legislation, the maximum period of residence and work of foreigners from third countries is up to 3 years.

Brokerage Commission?
The amount of the commission is determined based on the number of vacancies for which the Contract will be concluded, after a specific inquiry. It is paid once, only after the candidates are already at their workplace.
How are costs allocated?
The employer undertakes to undertake:
- Apartment
- translation and legalization of documents
- state fee for issuing documents from the Directorate of Migration and the Employment Agency
- mandatory health insurance for foreigners
- all other social benefits valid for the Bulgarian workers in the company, such as: food, food vouchers, clothes, etc.
The candidate undertakes:
- The costs of sending original documents
- overhead costs related to the accommodation (electricity, water, internet, heating...)
- fee for issuing Visa type "D"
- transport from the country of origin to the workplace and back

What conditions must the Employer meet?
The employer is checked at the National Revenue Agency for the existence of obligations of the employer according to Art. 87, para. 11 of the Tax and Insurance Procedural Code, as well as by the Executive Agency "Main Labor Inspectorate" for criminal decrees entered into force for violations specified in Art. 11 ZTMTM.

What is the maximum number of candidates from third countries that can be appointed in one Bulgarian Company?
According to Bulgarian legislation, the maximum number of employees is 35% for small and medium enterprises and 20% for large enterprises. They are determined on the basis of a reference for the previous 12 months for the appointed Bulgarian citizens.
